$10,000 fine for touting
GOVERNMENT has introduced deterrent fines to push out touts from the central business districts where they have become a menace. Information permanent secretary Ndavaningi Mangwana said the fines range from $4 000 to $10 000. “The operation to remove mushika-shika is ongoing. Touts kidnap and assault Harare cop, leave him for dead
FOUR touts from Harare were recently arrested after they allegedly kidnapped a police officer, assaulted, and left him for dead on Wednesday. A Mushikashika tout appeared in court on Monday facing murder charges after he reportedly slapped and kicked a senior citizen to death in High Glen in September.
