BY TENDAISHE CHIBAYA

The warriors of Zimbabwe are to meet the lions of Teranga Senegal later today at 15; 00 pm in what is expected to be the toughest game for Zimbabwe in Group B.

Senegal currently has one of the strongest teams in Africa as proven by their world cup campaign qualification of a total of 6 games winning 5 and one draw with their last match embarrassing Congo with a 2-0 victory win.

The Zimbabwean team is expected to play a balanced offensive and defending in order to keep the Lions at bay and execute the fatal blow through Mapeza strikers in high hopes of the smiling assassin Musona to score and reflect that the warriors are not prey.

Aliou Cisse, the coach lions of Teranga is also expecting the same form of play the team has displayed in World cup qualifications and like that which made them the first country to qualify for this tournament beating Guinea Bissau by one to nill.

The Zimbabwe Warriors squad has local players from local teams, such as the likes of Godfrey Murwira who plays for Dynamos FC.

However, due to the effects of the corona virus pandemic, the ZIFA league in Zimbabwe had been closed for a period of over 2 years by these the current form of local players is yet to be a surprise.

Defence of the warriors can be guaranteed as safely shown by the friendly match of  2 January 2022 game in  Cameroon , which ended a draw 0-0  with Sudan ,Jordan Zemura displayed tactical defending which required to stop the high pace of Sadio Mane.
