Dr Ndlovu appointed Education Minister, takes over from Mathema

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Dr Evelyn Ndlovu as the new Minister of Primary and Secondary Education.

Dr Ndlovu replaces Cain Mathema who is now a Ministet without Portfolio in the Office of the President and Cabinet.

In a statement Tuesday afternoon, Government spokesperson Nick Mangwana said the appointment was with effect from 30 September.

Reports indicate that Mathema is under the weather and has been in a Harare hospital for close to a month after he suffered a stroke.

Dr Ndlovu was until recently th3 Minister of State in the office of the Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

She is also a proportional representation MP for Bulilima constituency.
