MDC Members from both factions are in a vigorous stampede to join the revolutionary party led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa before the 2023 harmonized elections.
This development comes at time when Zanu-PF is targeting to gunner more than 5 million votes in the upcoming plebiscite.
Recently, former Harare deputy mayor Emmanuel Chiroto, former Marondera mayor Farai Nyandoro, among others joined the revolutionary party.
Excited to join the revolutionary party, the seven members from the MDC willingly paraded themselves to the ZANU-PF politiburo.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has whole heartedly welcomed the prodigal members.
“We received seven former MDC Alliance members, mostly original founders of MDC. They told us that they realised home is home.
“You can go all over, but you will eventually come back home. We are receiving them wholeheartedly.”
