Fairness is defined as just and reasonable treatment in accordance with accepted rules or principles. Treating all people equally and applying reasonable punishments only when rules are broken is an example of fairness. The property of being fair. In fairness, I should have asked before I borrowed your car. So in all democratic governments fairness is manufactured in parliament and executed in courts of law.
The social media is awash with the revelations thrown in the public domain by the independent Member of Parliament for Norton Temba Mliswa.
Temba Mliswa believes that stories matter, so he jumps to the public with unsubstantiated stories, but that all too often in our lives we operate from the perspective of hearing and knowing a single story — about a person, a situation, or perhaps a conflict. And that we operate from the perspective of the single story unconsciously.
The risk of the single story, the one perspective, is that it can lead us to default assumptions, conclusions and decisions that may be incomplete, and may lead to misunderstanding. Operating from the context of a single story can prevent us from a more complex, nuanced view of a situation.
Fairness demands that the story must be two sided so that we make an informed decisions without bias.
There is a connection between single stories and the impact of power in our lives. In any situation, who tells the story, how and when, can impact situations greatly.
The way we make sense of situations leads to narratives that may be harmful if left unexamined. Power enables some to define individuals and situations from a particular lens. It is therefore true that single stories have significant negative impact. They can rob people of their dignity, and emphasize how we are different rather than how we are similar.
The system of sharing one sided stories puts the country in a danger of being irrational gossip led nation. The behaviour of Temba Mliswa blinds us to recognize how much stories matter.
Listening to Mliswa with his gossip and defamation chants one wonders at the calibre of our members of parliament. And that by giving space to hear a multitude of stories which carry a second view we can help to empower and humanize others.
Temba must stop this village gossip, it helps remind us of the importance of openness to others’ lived experiences.
There is in Latin what is called Audi alteram partem (or audiatur et altera pars) is a Latin phrase meaning “listen to the other side”, or “let the other side be heard as well”. It is the principle that no person should be judged without a fair hearing in which each party is given the opportunity to respond to the evidence against them. Wit, illustrating audi alteram partem.
“Audi alteram partem” is considered to be a principle of fundamental justice or equity or the principle of natural justice in most legal systems.
This principle includes the rights of a party or his lawyers to confront the witnesses against him, to have a fair opportunity to challenge the evidence presented by the other party, to summon one’s own witnesses and to present evidence, and to have counsel, if necessary at public expense, in order to make one’s case properly. there is a violation of the principle of hearing both sides when the people are fed with one sided story purporting to be the truth.
The three main requirements of natural justice that must be met in every case are: adequate notice, fair hearing and no bias. Sometimes, all three of these concepts are grouped together as “the right to a fair hearing.” Temba Mliswa is a legislator who finds himself bankrupt of reason.
Essentially, natural justice requires that a person receive a fair and unbiased hearing before a decision is made that will negatively affect them. Listening to Temba Mliswa three things become very clear. The first one is that he believes he is the untouchable of this country. Two that he is the chief whip of the whole nation and finally that he believes in witchcraft himself.
The fair hearing requirement means that the people affected are given a reasonable opportunity to present their point of view and to respond to facts presented by others, and that the decision-maker will genuinely consider what each person has told them when making the decision.
• The no bias requirement means that the person making the decision must act impartially when considering the matter, and must not have any relationships with anyone that could lead someone to reasonably doubt their impartiality. Temba gave no one any chance to think he just spewed his beliefs presenting them as the truth. This is defamation at its best.
Temba gave a one sided audio accusing Ziyambi Ziyambi of visiting mapositori with the aim of wanting to kill Temba and his sister. In the audio it is Temba alone talking and there is no where in the conversation where Ziyambi was given a chance to respond. As far as Temba is concerned his Job is done and he has delivered a serious blow on Ziyambi.
Ziyambi’s name is flown in the storm dragged in the mud and pulled in the fire all because Temba wants to get at Ziyambi.
There is no doubt that Temba gets inside information from the ZANU PF meetings
So he is now used to fight the ZANU PF in-house fightings in Mashonaland West Province. Temba’s sister is an MP where Temba used to be and Temba feels that he has the duty to protect her sister. Yes this is natural but Temba seeks to protect his sister by destroying those he perceive to be against his sister. Temba is actually fuelling factionalism in Mashonaland East by going after those he believe to be against his sister.
One thing people learn very fast is that Temba Mliswa is an unreliable Allie. He sold out Kuda Tagwirei by publishing a private audio they had together. He is so heartless. He does not consider the welfare of the other person as long as it vindicates his position. He is a selfish pagan who believes that witchcraft gives him power.
Historically, obligations of natural justice were owed only in court and other very formal legal proceedings, and today the specific procedures to be followed to ensure the principles of natural justice are upheld in every aspect of life.
Temba Mliswa has developed a self praising system. Alas it is powered by his belief in Witchcraft.
Temba Mliswa recorded himself admonishing the children of President Mnangagwa. This was sadly a one sided recording where Temba pretended to be giving advise to the two boys. He again threw the audio in the public domain without kissing with those he pretends to be assisting.
So it is clear that Temba is a cowardly all he does is “rova bembera “. This phishing type of politics is depressing. To think that we have MPs who believe that a mupositori will give him powers makes us cringe with fear. We are not represented at all
Shame on Temba Mliswa. He again gossips about a former cabinet minister resulting in Temba getting a slap from Patrick Zhuwawo’s wife. He does not end there he makes a recording attacking Police general commissioner. Temba confuses his insanity with courage. He actually needs help.
Now he records himself confronting Ziyambi only that he is confronting Ziyambi in his mind. Temba is a man who speaks to himself and thinking that it is courage. Temba holds a conversation with himself and he posts the conversation on social media.

Fairness is important. It takes place in all our lives. If we did not have fairness our lives would be crazy. Fairness is when everyone is treated equally and no one is left out. People that are fair follow the rules in sports, games, activities, and in their community. They are honest and trustworthy. They follow Eleanor Roosevelt’s quote “It is not fair to ask of others what you are unwilling to do yourself.” Fairness is very important in a community. Everyone needs to follow the rules, be respectful of one another and work together to build a strong and beautiful community. They can do this by getting together in a friendly way to solve problems and make rules that are fair to everyone. One should not use the social media to settle problems in politics. In a community, fairness looks like people keeping their pets in their own yards, people taking care of their trash, people respecting their neighbors, and people following the rules in their community. In a community neighbors also help one another and take care of each other.Fairness is a lot more than we think. It is not only making sure that everyone is treated the same. It encourages, respect, responsibility, leadership, trust and a life that matters. All of these things affect a community.It should be important to a person to act with fairness. If you do this people will respect and trust you. People will know that you are nice and they will want to be your friend. Tomorrow they will vote for you. You will have a better opportunity to live a wonderful life and lead a prosperous constituency. When a person doesn’t think something is fair they stand up for change in their community. MPs must make communities and the world a better place by being leaders and heroes and standing up for fairness.There are leaders in every community that help to make sure things are fair. They work with others to help make sure that it’s a safe and fair community where people want to live. Fairness affects our lives and builds strong communities. That’s how fairness affects a community.
As a people Zimbabwe is not served well by heartless witch mongers superstitious leaders like Temba. If we still believe that we will change through witchcraft then we are doomed.
Zimbabwe must desist from the politics of gossip. Power is not found in traditional healers or faith healers. Power is given by God.
We must stop fighting our wars in the social media. If Temba has a case against Ziyambi he must talk to him not talking to the social media.
