OPPOSITION leader Nelson Chamisa will deliver his party’s agenda for the year 2021, following a 2020 in which the MDC Alliance lost party officials and assets to rival political formations.
The MDC Alliance advised this Friday that Chamisa will next week present his party’s agenda plan for the year.
“On the 9th of March 2021, president Advocate Nelson Chamisa will deliver the party’s #Agenda2021 address which will be streamed live on all our channels. Tune in as we chart the course to win Zimbabwe for change!” said the party’s spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere.
Mahere told the Zimbabwe Voice that all was set for the agenda setting which will be be beamed off on Thursday, midday.
“President Chamisa will set the agenda for the new year after a 2020 in which the ruining Zanu-PF party tried to dismantle the people’s movement. However, the people shall govern and as President Chamisa will say next week, Mnangagwa has failed and cannot stop an idea whose time has arrived,” she said.
Even the year 2021 has had a difficult start as the MDC Alliance’s national deputy treasurer, Lilian Timveos, defected to the ruling Zanu-PF party, citing alleged lack of direction and lack of tolerance in the party.
This week, Mnangagwa told his party’s Politburo meeting that Zanu-PF members must embrace incoming members of the MDC Alliance and make them feel at home. He also highlighted that the incoming members will have to be taught the party’s ideology. – Zimbabwe Voice
