Zvishavane man defrauds miner of US$27,800 cash

A ZVISHAVANE man has been denied bail in a case he allegedly defrauded a local miner of nearly US$28000 in a deal he promised to purchase two tipper trucks for the complainant.

Fanuel Hove was denied bail as he absconded from performing community service at Mandava Clinic in another fraud case.

Allegations are that Hove defrauded a local miner of the money after promising to purchase tipper trucks from Chinese nationals on the miner’s behalf.

After getting US$27800, Hove allegedly disappeared and never fulfilled the promise.

The money was not recovered. – ZBC 🔺
