Zimbabwe’s COVID-19 deaths surpass 1,000

COVID-19 deaths in Zimbabwe have surpassed the one thousand mark after 31 more fatalities were recorded on Sunday.
A visit to Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare clearly depicts the situation on the ground, with freshly dug graves spreading across the cemetery.
While florists at the cemetery are recording brisk business, they too fear for their lives and are calling on the general public to adhere to Covid-19 regulations.
“Everyday cars line up to bury their loved ones. In as much as we are recording business, it is not pleasant at all as we watch people flout Covid-19 regulations. They continue to crowd, coming in numbers,” said one florist who conducts business next to the gravesite.
Zimbabwe has so far recorded a total 31,320 Covid-19 cases 1,005 deaths and 22 250 recoveries. 🔺
