Man brutally murders police officer, steals his car and cash

ZVISHAVANE – A man who allegedly stabbed a Police officer with a knife, strangled him to death with a rope before escaping with the deceased’s car and US$130 has been remanded in custody to February 12, 2021.
Piso Moyo of Bindu Village under Chief Nyamhondo, Vurasha in Mberengwa appeared before magistrate Archie Wochiunga facing a murder charge.
Sergeant Benjamin Munoitei Murambiwa was killed on on December 13, 2020 along Buffalo Road Advalorem Zvishavane. The suspect dumped the deceased’s body in a drain.
The suspect was arrested in Mwenezi after he used the deceased’s mobile phone.
CID officer-in-Charge for Zvishavane, Detective lnspector Tarusenga Mbika led the investigations.
