Africa University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Furusa dies

MANICALAND-based Africa University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Munashe Furusa has died.

He was rushed to  Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital this morning where he died after a short illness

Africa University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Mageto has confirmed the sad development.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, the United-Methodist run institution is harnessing data to improve overall operations and performance of the university to make a meaningful contribution to the industrialisation and modernisation of Africa through innovative research, technological solutions and enterprise development in all areas of specialisation.

Africa University last year launched its U Safe hand sanitiser in response to the call by Government for tertiary institutions to play a role in filling the gap in the supply of Personal Protective Equipment.
