‘ONCE Trump is your president, you’ll wish you’d been friendlier to me.’ These are the words of the late former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe to U.S. Senators in 2016.
Mugabe’s prophetic words came true five years later this week when U.S. lawmakers ran for dear life as coup-minded Trump supporters ran riot on Capitol Hill leading to the death of five people and injuries to several including law enforcement officials.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa said Thursday that the United States had no right to sanction other nations in the name of promoting democracy after Wednesday’s riot at the U.S. Capitol.
