From Eminem to Beyoncé: Obama lists songs that inspired his presidency

MUSIC has always played an important role in the life of former US President Barack Obama, moreso during his presidency. The 4th US President revealed this Tuesday in honor of his book hitting shelves today.

The book is titled ‘A Promised Land’.

“I put together this playlist featuring some memorable songs from my administration. Hope you enjoy it,” said Obama on Twitter.

Apart from rap legend Eminem and showbiz vixen Beyoncé, Obama’s list includes Steve Wonder, U2, Aretha Franklin as well as Jay-Z. Also listed are:

Obama, now aged 59, was elected the US President in 2008 on a Democratic ticket, becoming the first African American to achieve the feat.

He won a second term four years later and his eight years in the White House has been considered one of the most scandal-free in modern times. – Zimbabwe Voice
