My wife is the secret behind Master KG collabo: Nox

By Keith Mlauzi

As the old adage says ‘behind every successful man there is a woman,’ this is true to Nox Guni’s recent climax in the music industry elevated by a collaboration with South Africa’s international sensation Master KG the Jerusalema hit maker.

Most of the time the forces behind the success of individuals are ignored, but it is not easy to turn a blind eye at these forces if they come as romantic gestures.

Nox says even though Master KG was accessible to him, the collaboration would have come through if it wasn’t for his wife Tallyn Ndudzo- Guni.

“I stay in the same area with Master KG it wasn’t hard to get a collaboration with but my wife motivated me to go about and she facilitated everything for me, she’s the actual hero behind the My Melody hit song,” said Nox.

Nox also revealed that they are other three projects in the bag but will not announce or talk about them as yet because he fears sabotage as was the case with the release of My Melody in August.

“We have three more songs coming up with Master KG, we have finished the songs but will not announce the release dates as yet because last time we did some ‘local acts’ tried to divide the attention,” he said

Asked about a collaboration with South African top producer DJ Maphorisa after a picture of the two circulated on social media, Nox said did not give a clear answer but said he has more international collaborations on his to do list.

“We are doing a lot of work in the background but as I said before I will not mention with who and when.

“We have a few more collaborations coming from South Africa, a few from Tanzania and a few from Nigeria, but we will release all this in due time,” said the muso.

He also expressed that it’s time to move from being just a local musician to owning the international stages. He will embark on this journey along with his wife who has been very supportive and helped create opportunities for him in the showbiz spaces. – Zimbabwe Voice
