SEVERAL pedestrians in Harare escaped death by a whisker as an out-of-control ZUPCO bus veered off the road and ploughed into a busy street.
According to a screengrab obtained from the footage of a nearby building’s CCTV camera, the incident took place this week Tuesday at 11:46AM.
The exact location and details of any injuries relating to the freak accident have yet to be ascertained.
Recently, scores of people who were in a bank queue also fled in terror when brakes of a bus failed and it then free-wheeled in reverse towards them in the city centre in Bulawayo. The bus in question belonged to Nkosana Bus Service and was also under the Zupco franchise.
It moved for about 50 metres and only stopped after crashing. – Zimbabwe Voice
