VETERAN gospel musician Blessing Shumba will today drop his eighth album titled Heal Our Land.
The album carries eight tracks namely Amen, Tenda Jesu, Ndina Jesu, Holy Spirit, Nyasha Dzenyu, Jesu Anopa, Tinokunda and the title track Heal Our Land.
“The album will be out tomorrow (today) and everything is set now. We have printed the copies and I am confident the album will certainly change people’s lives.
“It carries the message which uplift hearts of believers in these trying times,” he said.
He added: “Indeed we have been delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic but God’s time is the best.
“We thank and praise him for giving this golden opportunity to preach the word to many through songs.”
His two sons Nervius and Levite are expected to provide cover during the album launch.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Onias Sanangura the owner of Ring Driving School where Shumba is the brand ambassador.
“As Ring Driving School we promise to continue supporting Shumba.
“He is hardworking and a talented artiste.
“From the time we engaged him, we benefited spiritually, physically, mentally and also boosted our business. We are supporting him to send the gospel message to the world.
“We also want to commercialise his music in a different way so that he gets something out of it.
“Many people say Shumba is somehow hiding so we want him to move to the next level,” he said.
Sanangura, who is also the president of Zimbabwe Driving School Owners Association, told this publication that they are resuming their duties.
“With the guidance from our parent Ministry which is the Ministry of Transport we are starting our operations.
“We are getting ready to operate following guidance set by the task force in the Ministry,” he said.
In another interview, Shumba’s wife said they owe the success to God.
“We want to thank God for everything he is doing in our lives. It has been God from day one and he is making things very simple.
“Through the intervention of God the project was simple despite the lockdown era. I also took part mainly on the song Nyasha Dzenyu,”she said.
To date, Shumba has seven albums to his credit namely Ishe Wazvose, NdiMwari, Shongwe, NdiJesu, Calvery, My Season and NdiMweya.
Songs on the albums were recorded by different producers namely Lyton Ngolomi, Olin Anderson, Joseph Makiwa and Charles Ayibeki.
